Provide specialized psychiatric consultative services to medical and surgical teams at JPS. This role focuses on evaluating and managing patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions across various units within the main medical hospital.
Providers will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans, enhance patient outcomes, and support integrated patient-centered care. Additionally, they will foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with providers across multiple medical and surgical specialties to ensure seamless communication, continuity of care, and best practices in managing complex patient needs.

- Provider Schedule: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (average: 3 twelve-hour shifts that include rotation coverage of holiday and weekends)
- No Call
- Case Managers and Social Workers on-site
- Currently Team: 4 Physician Attendings & 4 APPs

Required Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program OR Nurse Practitioner program (PMHNP certification)
- Experience working on a Consultation Liaison service
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Board Certification or Board Eligible.
