Job Description
Description: The Food Service Worker PRN performs a variety of tasks on patient tray line, in dish room and pots/pans station and storage area.
Typical Duties
- Busses trays from cafeteria conveyor belt and patient tray carts.
- Washes and stores all china, trays, pots and pans and tableware.
- Returns and sanitizes patient food service carts after meal service.
- Assists with food distribution on tray assembly line.
- Prepares and delivers food carts to patient floors and returns after meal service.
- Operates and cleans automatic food elevator (dumbwaiter).
- Prepares and delivers floor stocks per nursing unit.
- Returns leftover food to cooks after mealtime and stores other foods appropriately.
- Stocks diet aid and nourishment supplies.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3 plus years of experience working in the food service industry performing food preparation, dish washing, and/or hospitality services related to food management, catering, etc. may substitute for the required education.
- Must have a current City of Fort Worth Food Handler’s Certification.
- Must have completed an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited Food Handler’s Certificate Program.
