Job Description
Job Summary: The Research Associate is responsible for activities related to the development of clinical research supported by the JPS Health Network Office of Clinical Research. This position serves as part of a multidisciplinary team that engages in clinical research.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities
- Assists with entry of clinical research data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems according to study protocol and EDC procedures.
- Prepares research protocols and Institutional Review Board submissions in collaboration with research team.
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures to ensure that research processes are reliable, efficient, and compliant with federal and institutional regulations.
- Assists with developing survey questionnaires or materials as needed.
- Manages and implements research protocols under the direction of the lead investigator and research team. Duties may include participant enrollment, administering surveys, and performing data collection.
- Maintains timely and accurate tracking of research projects.
- Assists with drafting abstracts, presentations, or manuscripts for submission to conferences or peer-reviewed journals.
- Maintains and expands registry of relevant internal and external research databases.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s’ degree in health-related field from an accredited college or university.
- 2 years of clinical research experience.
- Master's degree in Clinical Research or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 3 plus years of basic experience using Microsoft Office Professional Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
- Completion of human subject’s protection training within 30 days of hire.
- 2 plus years of experience in regulatory compliance.
