Job Summary: The Senior Systems Administrator Epic Server Administrator is responsible for analyzing requests and generating effective solutions through the implementation of projects involving assigned information systems. This position is also responsible for the design, development, documentation, implementation, training, and support of systems in response to the organization’s information system’s needs.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities
- Isolates and assesses the potential root causes of technical and application problems.
- Participates in routine and unplanned server or application maintenance. This includes server and/or appliance installation and cable management, etc.
- Acts as liaison between other departments or user groups to determine needs and define goals.
- Participates in 24x7 global support team as needed. On-call rotation to be expected.
- Acquires and maintains detailed working knowledge of software packages and applications, written or purchased, to assist and promote efficient use.
- Responds to problems, requests, and support via the Help Desk took per Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards.
- Provides analysis for hardware-software integration in assigned applications systems.
- Documents in detail all information regarding incidents and requests in our call-tracking system, as well as accurate documentation of inventory and software process flows within knowledge base.
- Shows dependability through regular attendance, meeting commitments, self-motivating, working independently or in a team environment, and being able to stay focused under pressure.
- Stays current with new technology.
- Adheres to daily and monthly metrics as defined by the Director. (ED: initial response, support turnaround time, customer service survey, etc.).

Required Qualifications:
- One of the following qualification groupings is required for this position as indicated below:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
- Current Epic Certification. Must maintain throughout employment.
- 3 plus years of experience working as a Systems Administrator.
- One or more Third Party Certifications or certification gained within six (6) months of employment is required:
- Microsoft MCSA, Microsoft MCP, Microsoft MCTS, Citrix CCA-V, Citrix CCA-N, VMware VCP-DCV, VMware VCP-DTM, or CompTIA Server .
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Current Epic Certification. Must maintain throughout employment.
- 5 plus years of experience in IT.
- 3 plus years of experience working as a Systems Administrator.
- One or more Third Party Certifications or certification gained within six (6) months of employment is required:
- Microsoft MCSA, Microsoft MCP, Microsoft MCTS, Citrix CCA-V, Citrix CCA-N, VMware VCP-DCV, VMware VCP-DTM, or CompTIA Server .
- Epic ECSA Certification Program.
- Epic OCBA Certification Program.
- ECSA Client Systems Certification.
