Job Description:
Description: The Supv, Radiation Therapy is responsible for providing direction to the radiation oncology staff at JPS Center for Cancer Care (CCC) Radiation Oncology Department.
Typical Duties:
Ensures Chart Check quality assurance s is done weekly; evaluates and maintains the quality of procedures and services.
Oversees daily operational issues; orders supplies as needed for the department.
Oversees reporting and resolution of linear accelerator, CT scanner/simulator and computer problems.
Oversees coordination of patient scheduling for daily radiation therapy and CT simulation treatment planning.
Checks daily charges and billing for accuracy.
Supervises radiation therapy staff in accordance with clinical and governmental standards and within an established budget.
Facilitates the development and achievement of mission, goals, policies, budget and work methods.
Orients, trains, monitors and evaluates Radiation Therapists and other Radiation Oncology Department staff.
Reviews staff performance and ensures compliance; monitors patient flow and handles complaints.
Serves as liaison with medical staff, JPS CCC Administrator and JPS CCC Practice Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy program.
- 10 plus years of experience in radiation therapy with 5 years in management roles.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
