Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our manufacturing company seeks Production Workers for operating and maintaining equipment in our factory and warehouse to prepare products for distribution. The Production Workers tasks involves assembling and checking production parts, ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly, as well as assisting in the shipping of products. These individuals will clean and operate factory equipment, put together and inspects products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards. We are looking for experienced physical laborers who can perform under direct supervision to take our products to the next level in terms of quality, environmental, health and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRODUCTION WORKERS:
• Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
• Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
• Load kettles with raw materials in various stages.
• Monitor and observe production lines to ensure the flow of production is not interrupted.
• Monitor control boards that control production temperatures to meet specifications.
• Production testing to ensure product meets specifications.
• Ensures the production area is clean and free of debris.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines dictation of the production and handling of materials in factory.
• Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
• Reports issues or problems with production to immediate Team Lead or Supervisor.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (AFTER 90-DAY TRAINING COMPETENT IN):
• Demonstrate ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment.
• Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment, i.e.; forklifts
• Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
• Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
• Attention to detail
• Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
• Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
• Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in factory, or warehouse work environment.
• Sit-down forklift certification or experience required.
• Pallet jack experience preferred.
• Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Working hours will be spent in warehouse.
• Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Will engage in standing for long periods, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of materials and containers.
• Safety gear, such as respirator, goggles, gloves, mask and helmet are required.
• Up and downs three (3) flights of stairs on shift.
