Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our manufacturing company is looking for customer-oriented service representatives to support our company’s Customer Service department in shipping and logistics. The CSR will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. Our objective is to ensure excellent standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction in terms of quality, environmental, health and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage high number of incoming calls
• Identify and assess customers needs to achieve satisfaction
• Answer and make calls while maneuvering a keyboard during research
• Process sales invoices
• Maintain and file all records in accordance with company procedure
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using to proper methods/tools
• Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions within time limits
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (30-DAY TRIAL/COMPETENCY REVIEW)
• Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
• Office work environment
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail
• Eagerness and willingness to learn
• Excellent interpersonal skills of willingness and ability to communicate, cooperate, and work with co-workers and supervisors
• Team player
EDUCATION AND JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or GED required
• At least three years of related experience
• Must be able to proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Internet programs
• Previous experience in shipping and logistics preferred
• Clear and effective communication skills, internal/external
• Strong team player
• Ability to assess and initiate task and duties independently
• Be a problem solver and solution oriented
• Eager to learn
• Ability to have patience with customers and suppliers
