In this position, you will partner directly with the Business Units to provide Human Resources support in a variety of ways. This role supports locations in both Holland and Stevensville, Michigan.

Acting as a business partner with leadership to implement employee-facing tools and processes.
Building strong relationships with your co-workers and leaders to influence and support a positive work environment.
Functioning as the communication link for corporate policies, events, and training events.
Acting as a day-to-day HR resource for your co-workers and business leaders.
Coordinating with our recruiting team on hiring needs, candidate interviews, and community connections.
Advising leadership on discipline, investigations, and/or performance issues.
Working with other ER Partners across the business to ensure the consistency of JR culture between locations.
Fully integrating with daily business operations on all levels, including staff meetings, performance reviews, interviews, employee counseling/coaching, and creating a safe and positive work environment.
Working with business leadership and the wider HR team to maintain equitable compensation practices.
Providing input on company policies and practices that directly impact employees.
Communicating and supporting HR metrics including turnover, attendance, performance, and survey results.
Generally understanding FMLA, 401(k), compensation issues, benefits open enrollment processes, and wellness programs.
Focusing on employee retention through new hire checkpoints, employee interaction, and exit interviews.
To be successful in this role a candidate should have:
An understanding and working knowledge of employment law, interviewing, and staffing assessment.
General understanding of a skilled manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with HR staffing processes and technical/engineering terminology.
Ability to develop a working knowledge of the JR Automation’s business and culture, and of the specific position requirements.
Must possess excellent communication and organization skills.
A willingness to travel, mostly between locations in Holland and Stevensville.
Five or more years of experience in HR or employee relations preferred.
