Responsibilities:
· Documenting and maintaining standard processes within the People & Culture department
· Ensuring data in HRIS (currently Paycom) is up to date and correct
· Assisting in training and ongoing coaching for new employees
· Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements, including OSHA
· Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs and update HRIS with new rates before 1st payroll of the year
· Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
· Create and own JRB social media platforms and creating standard work for each process
· Backfill next level as required by manager or director
· Process unemployment claims, disability claims, and wage verifications according to standard
· Involvement in the disciplinary process, including communicating the standard as well as mediating conflict, witnessing terminations, and other actions
· Conduct investigations and write reports in accordance with standards
· Communicating employee review dates to all department directors
· Communicating enrollment eligibility to new hires for 401k and other benefits
· Maintain all company policies and raise policy issues to People & Culture Manager, assist People & Culture Manager in enforcing and revising policies as needs and educating all staff on such
· Monitor employee morale and company culture.
· Conduct Exit Interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
· File annual compliance reports (EEO-1, OSHA 300, etc.)
Job Qualifications:
· 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist/Admin role required with demonstrated knowledge of the Human Resources field.
· HR certification highly preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
· Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
· Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance
· Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
· Paycom experience preferred
· Experience in a construction/manufacturing environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Compensation & Benefits:
· $56,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience plus bonus opportunities
