JR & Co. is seeking a Full-Time Sheet Metal Superintendent (FT) to join our energetic and family-oriented construction company. The ideal candidate has 5 years of architectural sheet metal experience, knowledge of metal roofing, coping and Formawall Centria DS58 & DS60 metal wall panels, Parapet Coping, Cut Miters, sheet metal flashing and trim and window flashings and has filled prior leadership roles. This is primarily an outdoor (field) position, which may require overtime and weekends, and will travel as needed for projects.

Essential Functions
- Oversee field employees, providing leadership and daily communication regarding construction, quality, and safety operations
- Perform inspections of jobs while providing accountability, visiting jobs sites daily
- Attend pre-construction meeting/pre-job walkthrough with Project Manager and/or Foreman
- Set up job site properly to maintain OSHA safety standards to ensure worker safety and compliance
- Motivate foreman and crews to perform at their highest level
- Schedule materials, equipment, and deliveries, using inventoried materials as much as possible
- Proactively problem solve to avoid work impacts and reduce inefficiencies
- Proactively plan all material, equipment, and subcontractor schedules to avoid impacts/delays
- Track and communicate project completion percentage to accounting for monthly billing
- Work closely with Quality Control, Safety Management, Inspectors, and Manufacturers
- Conduct/participate in weekly project meetings for scheduling, discussions, and issue resolution
- Submit weekly reports with progress, impacts, quality, safety, and other pertinent data
- Maintain thorough records and photos of construction progress and issues
- Complete projects on time and in the most cost-efficient way (under budget desirable)
- Perform final quality inspection walk-through prior to crew demobilization
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- OSHA 10 hour training (minimum) / OSHA 30 preferred ( or requirement to obtain within 90 days)
- EM385-1-1, 24HR Fall Protection Training
- Certification for rigging, signaling, and operating equipment
- Familiar with SMACNA standards and details
- Ability to understand shop drawings and site plans
- Proficient math skills for calculating building areas, lengths, heights, and accurately using a tape measure
- Must be able to obtain security clearance on military job sites
