What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM Technician position at Jr Manufacturing Inc?
The CMM Tech is responsible for all verification and certification of dimensional layouts for all parts, inspection fixtures, and measurement tools. In addition, the CMM Tech. is responsible for data recording and traceability. It is his/her responsibility to ensure that all measurements are to an accurate level for customer expectations.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Monthly measurements for parts
Yearly fixture and measurement tool certification
Issue measurement tools to appropriate locations
Travel for training or sorting as needed
Hold or stop production if nonconforming or unsafe parts appear
Practice 5S
Gage Calibrations
Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) annual validations
Other duties assigned by Quality Manager
Qualifications: (knowledge, skills and abilities):
High School Education; technical or trade school certification preferred
CMM & CMM software knowledge preferred
Blueprint Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) familiarity
Able to work and understand measurement tools
Basic geometry skills
Ability to practice 5S, work safely & productively
Training:
Occasional travel for off-site training may be required
