Description
Job Summary: Oversee all document development and control as well as company electronic documentation; manages the Change Requests and Notices; oversees company-wide documentation and control; develops and maintains the training needs of the site for compliance.
Job Duties:
- Devise and maintain documents & record control procedures. Control and log all JR documents for the TN plant.
- Hold or Stop production if nonconforming or unsafe parts appear.
- Provide new hire training to new employees. Provide on the floor training to operators and all JR staff whenever necessary for production needs.
- Provide leadership within department for successful day to day operation.
- Work closely with others to include coordinators, trainers, auditors and assistants to include communication between shifts.
- Work amongst all departments to assist in root-cause and countermeasure current issues.
- Ensure team members are following established training policies and procedures.
- Generate and manage the generation, review, editing and release of company documents. Ensure availability of documentation to all team members.
- Document data and information in all required forms.
- Schedule, participate and conduct weekly process plan meetings, change control, quality, staff and power team meetings.
- Assist in IATF Audits and Customer Audits
- Be constructive in feedback and instructions. Be fair, honest and positive with all team members.
- Coordinate training matrix system that can be accessed who is trained in what area and communicate during meetings.
- Coordinate all team members training to latest revision levels
- Monitor and track quarantine procedure and non-conforming product
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly and work effectively with all team members including: new hires, coordinators, team leads and supervisors.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in document control and training.
- High degree of professionalism along with organizational skills, tact and diplomacy
- Must be able to work overtime with little to no notice
- Knowledge of PPAP development, requirements, working knowledge of blueprint reading
- Clear understanding of quality concepts and systems (PDCA, 5S, Auditing, Non-conformance, 5-WHY, Change Point Control, etc.)
- Must portray professional attitude and demeanor at all times
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Must have proven leadership skills
- Ability to work and understand measurement tools
- Time management/prioritization abilities, the ability to multi-task
- Ability to understand and enforce all company non-conformance, safety, 5S methodology, Quality Policy protocols and rules.
- Ability to travel; both one day and overnight trips to customers/vendors or other facilities as required
- Must be able to safely operate a sit down forklift
- Must be able to obtain internal auditor certificate for IATF-16949
Physical demands and work environment:
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift or move 35lbs unassisted. Able to lift or move 50lbs with aid.
- Computer/walking/sitting/stairs in a manufacturing/warehouse facility
- Must be able to traverse facility and stretch, squat or reach.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures within the facility
