Job Summary: The role of the Maintenance Team Lead is to participate in, direct and oversee the work activities of the maintenance personnel by delegating assignments to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects. This group is responsible for supporting production through (1) Fixing cells that are down, (2) Completing PM’s on all machines on the appropriate schedules, (3) Improving cells to ensure good quality of products and allow for better production efficiencies, (4) Certify required documentation is completed and maintained for compliance of company policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
- Direct and review the daily work of the Maintenance Staff
- Organize and oversee the schedules of the Maintenance Staff
- Support production for all electrical, mechanical, PLC or robotic needs.
- Develop, assign, and maintain document data and information on all required forms including completion of scheduled preventative maintenance, daily reports, etc.
- Evaluate systems to determine maintenance and/or repairs needed and create a plan for repair/installation.
- Assure all cells that are down are repaired and restarted correctly and in a timely manner.
- Make sure Quality parts are being made, follow non-conforming Product procedure.
- Assist with development and implementation of quality, efficiency (scrap), and safety improvements
- Assist the Quality department to determine root-cause and countermeasures for issues and participate in the response of customer trouble reports for all external quality issues.
- Understand, follow, support, and enforce policies such as non-conformance, OSHA, safety (tools and PPE), 5S methodology, Quality Policy protocols and handbook.
- Assist Operations Manager with handling discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Be constructive, fair, honest, and positive in feedback and instructions at all times including when conducting performance evaluations.
- Work closely with others to include coordinators, auditors, and assistants with communication between shifts.
- Support relocation of on-site production equipment. Assist with the planning of new equipment installation. (dealing with 480V Circuits)
- Must always portray a professional attitude.
- Develop, track and ensure PM’s are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform all other tasks given to you by the Maintenance Manager to the best of your ability.
- Monitor team member safety and ensure that the proper tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) are being utilized.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written to facilities, associates and outside sources. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and work well in a close team environment.
- Minimum of two years experience with industrial electricity and a strong mechanical aptitude with general PLC knowledge.
- Have ability to aid in problem solving and have excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of tube/wire bending equipment and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- High degree of professionalism along with organizational skills, tact, and diplomacy. Self-motivated and schedule oriented
- Must be able to work overtime with little to no notice. Travel with the requirement of overnight or International.
- Conduit bending, wire size selection, fuse sizing. Familiar with 110V, 240V, 480V and 24V DC.
- Minimum two year experience with Motoman including program writing, program modification, I/O usage.
- MIG and Resistent Welding Experience
- Work From Heights Experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of OSHA Regulations
- Robotic Industries Association (RIA) certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of manual and electric hand tools, safeguarding and PIT equipment.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of building and equipment
Physical demands and work environment:
- Able to lift or move 30lbs unassisted. Able to lift or move 50lbs with aid.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose issues and plan repairs or maintenance
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Computer/ Walking/ Sitting/ Stairs in a manufacturing environment
- 1st shift position working Monday through Friday with Overtime on short & advanced notice as needed unless otherwise specified by the Operations Manager.
