PRODUCTION MNGR | TN

Job Duties

• Production scheduling
  • Creating and managing detailed production schedules to meet deadlines, adjusting as needed to address issues that arise.
  • Ensuring shipments are being met by communicating with the Team Leaders & Shipping Clerk
• Ensuring customer quality standards are met during the production process by collaborating with the Quality Department
• Resource allocation
  • Determining the necessary labor, equipment and raw materials needed to execute the production plan
• Supervision of Team Leaders, Shipping Clerk and Forklift operator in shipping/receiving area
• Ensure proper 5S activities are taking place as well as enforcing health regulations on production floor to ensure safety of all team members
• Communication and collaborating with cross functional teams in TN & OH
• Cost Control
  • Managing production budgets, optimizing costs related to labor, materials and overhead
  • Identifying opportunities for cost reduction
• Material management to include but not limited to:
  • Ensuring that proper inventory levels of raw materials are maintained at all times for production demands
  • Procurement; Placing purchase orders for raw materials based on production requirements
  • Organizing cycle counting activities to ensure proper and accurate completion
  • Coordinating yearly physical inventory

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Production Scheduling experience required
• Supervision/Management experience required
• Knowledge of MRP System
• Troubleshooting Skills
• Organizational and Time Management Skills
• Exceptional Communication Skills required
• Familiar with JRM procedures & processes is preferred but not required
