Scope of Work:

●     Attend weekly staff meetings.

●     Assist in marketing & sales projects and collaborate with experienced creative professionals.

●     Work on challenging and engaging projects such as brand development, asset development for partners, photography treatments, and season planning.

●     Support the marketing & sales team with asset development such as developing new projects or concepts, and supporting select creative project development.

●     Assist with community outreach programs and initiatives.

●     Present ideas and new concepts to the marketing & sales team.

●     Special projects as assigned in line with the intern/volunteer expertise or interests.

●     Provide direct support to the marketing & sales team and will be responsible for maintaining and upholding the Ontario Reign brand standards through engaging content curation, timely coverage, and thoughtful storytelling to help achieve organizational goals.

●     Day-to-day scheduling and publishing across Jr Reign social accounts.

●     Market research on digital marketing campaigns, event engagement activities, ticketing strategy, sponsor activations, etc.

Scheduled Hours & Rate of Pay

All internships and volunteers are required to complete 150 hours. The schedule will be flexible and based on hours dedicated to projects assigned. All interns and volunteers will report hours worked to their supervisor. Your status will be a part-time intern/volunteer with no employee benefits. This internship/volunteer position is NOT a paid position. You will gain academic credit through your existing university or institution for this work-learning internship in which you will collaborate with the Jr. Reign and the university. This internship automatically converts to a volunteer position if you are not eligible for academic credit or your current university does not grant academic credit for internships.

·     Improving self-confidence by working with professionals in the industry on valuable marketing and sales strategies

·     Evaluating career interests; some careers aren’t for everyone and we hope to provide better clarity for interns looking at beyond post-secondary education

·     Improving interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people in the industry and working with peers making decisions

·     Building contacts and creating connections in the world of sport

·     Understanding real world procedures and developments. An internship can create a better awareness of operating procedures and the importance of technology in the workplace.

Internship Requirements

·     Willingness to learn

·     Strong Communication, Organizational, and Teamwork Skills

·     Knowledge of hockey not a requirement but preferred

·     Able to commute to either Riverside, Carlsbad, and/or Westminster

·     Receive academic credit not a requirement but preferred
