Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as scrubbing floors are well-maintained and presentable.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, adhering to established cleaning protocols.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain an organized supply inventory for cleaning materials.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred; experience as a porter is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently while completing assigned tasks.
