Republic County Junior High/High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Vocal Music Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vocal instruction, choral directing, and music education. This position includes directing junior high and high school choirs, teaching vocal music classes,assisting with band as needed, and organizing performances and competitions.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and direct vocal music classes for junior high and high school students
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state and national music education standards
- Prepare students for concerts, festivals, and other performances
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to support student success
- Organize and participate in extracurricular vocal music activities
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress
District currently pays for a $500 deductible Single Health and a Dental Plan and a $10,000 Life Insurance Policy. Other benefits available through the Cafeteria plan. 12 days leave per year accumulating to 80 leave days. Current base Salary is $43,500. Salary is based on education and years of experience.
