High School Head Football Coach
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: Atheltic Director /High School Principal
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise athletes during all team activities and trips
- Work directly with assistant coaches for a consistent program
- Work directly with MS and community youth coaches for a consistent program
- Conduct Daily practices throughout the season with written practice plans
- Maintain Positive ASB accounts
- Assist AD with set up, clean up, chain duties, score clock/keeper, announcer, and gates
- Maintain Accurate Uniform and Equipment Inventory
- Complete WIAA Online Sport Specific Rules Clinic, WIAA General Rules Clinic, and Sudden Cardiac & Concussion Training.
- Attend League SOP Meeting as needed
- Complete accident reports in a timely manner
- Up To Date on WIAA Coaches Hours
- Report post-game scores in a timely manner with local newspapers, league website, and to the AD
- Represent MHS at year-end all-league meeting
- Participate In Year-End Banquet With Team
- Follow all MSD, WIAA, EWAC League policies and procedures
- Others as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Graduate
- At Least 21 Years of Age
- Maintain Valid First Aid/CPR Card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Head HS Football coaching experience
- Assistant, Junior High, Club, and/or Volunteer coaching experience
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 35% walking, and 50% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and some hazardous conditions.
