What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at JRayl Transport, Inc.?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Diagnoses failures and makes repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a vehicle.
- May discuss the nature of the difficulty with the driver(s).
- Uses hydraulic jacks or hoist, to gain access to the underside of the unit and to aid in the removal or replacement of assemblies such as Brakes, wheel seals, axle assemblies, roof bows, roof and side wall patches, air springs, etc.
- Uses electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in the troubleshooting and repair of heavy-duty ABS systems, self-inflating tire systems, trailer SkyBitz locating system
- Welding and minor fabrication skills are preferred.
