We are seeking a motivated individual to assist the NWS program lead at the Pittsfield Detachment of the Program Management Office Shipboard Systems Office (PMOSSP).
As a Technical Documentation Specialist with JRC, you will…
- Develop, manage, and maintain a wide range of technical documentation for systems such as the Electronic Security System (ESS) and the Perimeter Intrusion Detection and Analysis System (PIDAS).
- Provide comprehensive program planning and management for the Technical Data element of the INWSS.
- Assist in establishing policies, procedures, and methods for managing design disclosure documentation and fleet use technical manuals.
- Coordinate with other personnel to manage technical data packages, including new drawing packages and changes to existing ones.
- Write, edit, and coordinate reviews of technical and procedural documents, and participate in the development of standards and processes.
- Review technical design packages and formulate system recommendations to ensure new designs support end users.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for quality, quantity, and procedural matters related to technical documentation and the Trouble Failure Report (TFR) program.
- Assist with planning and preparation of IV&V efforts for testing INWSS program and Fleet Documentation deliverables.
- Support the Government Program Manager (PM) with technical editing and program support tasks.
What you bring to the table…
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering field from an accredited university.
- Experience: 2 years of engineering-related experience, particularly with documentation development supporting Department of Defense acquisition programs.
- Security Clearance: An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level (or above) or held a clearance within the past 2 years.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills.
- Team Player: A self-starter who is motivated, works well as part of a team, and has strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to travel within the continental United States (CONUS) up to 15%.
