Job Overview:
We seek an experienced and ambitious Managing Director to lead our architecture firm. This role is pivotal in shaping our firm’s identity, overseeing operations, and driving business development. The ideal candidate has a strong background in architecture or design management, combined with leadership and entrepreneurial skills to guide the firm toward long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
• Develop and implement the firm’s strategic vision, business plan, and growth roadmap.
• Establish and maintain a strong design philosophy and company culture.
• Lead and mentor a team of architects, designers, and support staff, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure business stability and profitability.
Business Development & Client Relations:
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Lead marketing and branding initiatives to position the firm as an industry leader.
• Oversee proposals, contract negotiations, and client presentations.
Project Oversight & Operations:
• Ensure that all architectural projects meet design, budget, and timeline expectations.
• Oversee quality control, compliance with building codes, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Manage hiring and professional development to attract and retain top talent.
• Implement efficient project management workflows and technological innovations.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• NCARB Certificate.
• 8 years of experience in architecture, design, or construction industries, with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong business acumen with experience in startup environments or entrepreneurial ventures.
• Proven track record of securing and managing high-profile projects.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and business management tools.
