What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift CNC Technician position at JRM, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY: Looking for a team player who can work CNC program assignments; also able to set up CNC machinery per engineering specifications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Able to debug new CNC programs at the machine.
-Interpret drawings, prints, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
-Review setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece.
-Perform a variety of milling, drilling, turning operations to close and interrelated tolerances. -Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
-Perform a variety of inspection and gauging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
-Confer with engineering department group to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
-Confer with workers in other departments to provide technical information.
-Follow company policies, procedures and protocols.
-Identify and promptly report any safety hazards or issues.
