As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment on-site, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace dysfunctional parts, including engines, transmissions, and pumps.
- Petroleum Industry Expertise
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the petroleum industry.
- Maintain and repair equipment used in petroleum operations, including pumps and PTOs.
- On-Site Service
- Travel to clients' locations to perform diagnostics and repairs.
- Communicate with clients to understand their vehicle issues and explain necessary repairs.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance.
- Documentation and Record Keeping
- Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Process and file service tickets, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Customer Service
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions or escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure quality customer service, including prompt response and clear communication.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in mechanics or petroleum industry are a plus.
- Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on mobile services.
- Knowledge of the petroleum industry, including equipment and safety regulations.
- Experience with PTOs and hydraulic pumps.
- Skills
- Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic systems and repair techniques.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.
- Certifications
- Certifications in automotive repair and petroleum industry safety are preferred.
