- The hours are 11 AM to 8 PM/10 AM-7 PM
- 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
- In the beginning during training it will be 4-5 days on site.
National Operations Control Center Network Analyst
- is currently looking for a Network Analyst to be responsible for managing the successful technical operation of the production trading networking environments and the tools supporting the network. This person must be self-motivated, detailed oriented and a team player. The role requires interaction with Network Engineering, Trading Systems Help Desk, Systems Operations, Software Development, the Business Strategy Group and the Exchange's customer base.
- Building out and managing monitoring tools to improve network monitoring and customization of vendor tools. Performing network data analysis and data reporting to support Trading Operations.
- Operating and monitoring the MIAX network infrastructure in support of MIAX's Exchanges. These are mission critical, high volume, real-time transaction processing environments.
- Participate in managing the change control process, implementation and fallback planning, business continuity planning and supporting periodic testing.
- The Network Analyst will report to the VP DCO, Network & Data Center Ops
- Knowledge of network communications protocols such as the TCP/IP protocol suite, Multicast, SNMP, packet capture analysis, troubleshooting and latency analysis with Wireshark.
- Experience building and configuring network monitoring solutions
- Experience with TAP aggregation solutions setup and configuration a plus
- Command line interface experience of deploying network configurations a must.
- Extensive experience with network monitoring and analytical/troubleshooting tools.
- Strong Knowledge of the LINUX command line interface and LINUX network stack.
- Knowledge of common Financial Industry protocols, such as FIX, OPRA & CTS market data feed protocols a plus
- Programming and scripting skills (Perl, Python, Shell, and etc.) a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication and organizational skills a must.
- NOC or customer support experience a plus.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science.
- 2 years of working in network operations or engineering in a financial organization a plus.
- Trading systems environment support a plus.
- Knowledge of equity and/or options products is a plus.
