Job Description-:

The Application Security Engineer enables secure software development by implementing application security processes and practices, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, and working closely with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). They play a critical role in protecting our systems and applications from security threats, conducting security testing, and championing security across the organization.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in identifying and remediating common web application vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10 (required)
• Experience in secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, security testing, and security scanning tools (required)
• Proficient in two or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C# (required) Proficient in one or more scripting languages such as Bash, and PowerShell (required)
• Experience with automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines (required, GitHub Actions preferred) Understanding of authentication methodologies, networking fundamentals and protocols, encryption, and relevant security fundamentals (required) Experience with popular threat modeling frameworks (preferred)
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)
• Experience with public cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure (preferred) or AWS
