JSA Partners, a tight-knit, fast-paced boutique public relations firm, is looking for a Senior PR Manager to join our growing team. This person will oversee clients across the digital media, consumer tech as well as esports & gaming teams and drive strategy and growth for our clients. You would be responsible for leading and managing clients, executing media relations and thought leadership strategies, expanding new business opportunities, and driving innovation at the firm. This is a great chance to join a small team and make a big impact.
The role is based in Los Angeles and would come into our Santa Monica office 3-4 days a week.
Principal Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts across the consumer tech and digital media portfolio, while also helping provide strategic counsel for esports and gaming clients as needed.
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans that elevate the profiles of JSA Partners clients and position executives as industry thought leaders.
- Engage in proactive, creative idea generation and trendjacking opportunities on behalf of clients.
- Secure interviews and meet-and-greets for clients in outlets spanning consumer tech, business, and digital media.
- Media train key spokespeople and prepare them for media interactions and speaking engagements.
- Identify and apply for high-impact conferences, awards, and other valuable thought leadership opportunities.
- Maintain, develop, and grow strong media relationships, pitch thoughtful story ideas, and draft creative written materials that reflect an understanding of our clients businesses.
- Keep a pulse on digital media, consumer technology, and gaming industry trends as they unfold.
- Advise clients on LinkedIn and social media strategy, as needed.
- Provide communications guidance for issues management.
- Generate new business on behalf of the firm, whether in our current industries or adjacent.
- Build relationships / network with decision-makers to source and acquire new business opportunities.
- Manage and motivate a team, setting and reviewing goals; work to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses and support career development.
