Role : Pedestrian/Field Operator
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Cape Coral, FL (Primary Location) with Travel to Other States
Travel Expenses Provided: Travel to other states, accommodation, and food bills
Locations & Travel:
After the Cape Coral assignment, the Operator will travel to various states, including:
Miami, FL
Sarasota, FL
Tampa, FL
Orlando, FL
Jacksonville, FL
Birmingham, AL
Atlanta, GA
Charleston, SC
Charlotte, NC
For each of these locations, the Operator will stay in Hotels and will receive coverage for travel expenses, including transport, accommodation, and food bills.
Job Description:
Mandatory Skills:
- Able to carry a 16-18 kgs backpack / Pedestrian Camera.
- Available 40h per week.(8 Hours Per day and 5 Days in a week)
- Able to walk around 15 kms/day
- Should be prepared to travel 75% of the time and be able to stay away from home for the length of time required for the execution of the project.
- Comfortable with reports
The Operator will use Pedestrian Operations Equipment or material provided by the customer to collect imagery, video and cartography data in both public and private pedestrian locations, as per defined target scope in target States.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Should be able to walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Should have capabilities to understand physical security protocols.
- Should have experience with iOS devices and should be technically savvy and the ability to troubleshoot with hardware and software issues.
- Should be capable of performing the physical requirements of their work, including but not limited to, lifting and carrying ~40 pounds for extended periods of time.
- Should be polite and courteous.
- Should have strong attention to detail.
- Should have experience working long hours.
- Should be prepared to travel 75% of the time and be able to stay away from home for the length of time required for the execution of the project.
- Should have a valid driver’s license and are permitted to drive a rental car in the Country
- Should have the ability to follow instructions and know when to run program issues up a chain of command rather than attempting to resolve issues independently.
- Should have proficiency in reading and speaking English.
The Spotter's primary role during collection is to assist the Operator and switch duties with them when need arises.
Additional Spotter responsibilities include:
Carrying additional supplies for collection. (Batteries, SSDs, other equipment during the day)
Remaining nearby to help swap batteries or SSDs but actively avoiding the cameras in the System (more on this later).
Assisting the Operator /Surveyor during any public interactions.
Each Operator should take turns as the Spotter during collection to relieve the workload.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
