Fixed wing pilots possess strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups, sometimes in highly stressful situations. The fixed wing pilot will be required to work varied shifts and may be required to be available for on call shifts. Our float positions are full-time. The purpose of our float pilot is to cover open shifts on the schedule due to line pilot vacations, leave, etc. Seven shifts are guaranteed in the pay period, but may not be consecutive or all at the same base.QUALIFICATIONS : High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or related field preferredMinimum of 6 years’ experience as a professional pilotMust hold a FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate2500 hours PIC time Airplane1000 hours in an aircraft with retractable gear1500 Turbine hours500 hours in a turbo prop aircraft250 hours instrument time250 hours of unaided night time experience25 hours operating a PC-12 and successful completion of ground and flight school within last 12 months preferredRecent air medical transportation experience preferredMountain experience preferredIf you do not have your SE ATP certificate at the time of hire, it is expected this will be added during your Initial Hire training event at Flight Safety or no later than your first annual recurrent training event. The cost associated with any required written exam for the ATP will be at your expense, however the cost of the additional checkride will be covered by Life Flight Network.Current FAA Second class flight physicalProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to communicate both verbally and writtenCustomer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organizationTravel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN’s service area is required.
