Johnson Service Group is seeking two Senior Level Manual Test Engineer-Mobile and Watch to work on-site with our client with either of the locations in Alameda, CA, Milpitas, CA or Portland, OR. In this position, you will test mobile and watch applications, and work collaboratively with the development team to ensure the delivery of quality products in an efficient, timely manner. The successful candidate will work within the client’s high-performance development team that is developing world-class products in patient healthcare.
The successful candidate will have a combination of strong functional test knowledge and methodology with hands on testing experience using latest technologies. Ability to multitask, be fluent with Agile Methodology, ability to work independently on features /releases, and experience participating in multi-layer SW development projects from a test verification perspective is key to success in this position.

Responsibilities
- Execute SQA/Test methodologies, test documentation and practices. White and black-box testing, ad hoc and manual testing. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Create manual test strategies and test suites. Design, develop and execute test protocols.
- Run tests of applications implemented on mobile and watch (iOS and Android). Other platforms such as web and cloud may be required.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects. During testing, analyze defects in order to assure quality and improve products.
- Perform thorough regression testing when defects are resolved.
- Ensure the test process and documentation conforms to client’s internal requirements.
- Work with the development team to assess technical risks, assist with technical problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of solid software testing practices, methodologies and techniques. Strong knowledge of SQA principles and design control practices. Familiar with boundary testing and equivalence partitioning testing.
- Experience working in an Agile Development process.
- Must have Mobile and Watch Application Testing (iOS and Android) experience, Python coding experience is a plus.
- Evidence of continuing education, such as technical certifications, a plus.
- Prior experience working in an FDA regulated environment/ testing medical devices is a plus.
- Experience working with BLE/ Bluetooth interfaces is a plus.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and technical specifications.
- Must have experience testing localization/ multi-language applications.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, deadline driven environment. Exceptional communication and reporting skills.
