Logistics Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: Lead Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing functions at JSI Milo.

DUTIES:

• Ensures that employees observe and comply with OSHA and JSI safety standards regulations and with state and federal transportation regulations.
• Provides accurate and on-time delivery of customer orders by collaborating with the Plant Manager and the Customer Service Team.
• Provides supervision and technical support for Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse departments.
• Determines appropriate packaging to achieve zero freight damage.
• Establishes, complies with, and audits functional and departmental procedures and standards.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs the job with Safety Being Top Priority.
• Assures that employees follow procedures detailed in the Company Handbook and in other policy documents, and follow all Safety Rules and Regulations, including federal and state transportation rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates a professional attitude when approaching work assignments and when working with outside vendors (freight carriers, etc.).
• Displays an awareness to maximize the utilization of materials and to minimize waste of materials.
• Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
• Assists in developing solutions to problems.
• Assures the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications.
• Maintains good attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-year degree in Business Administration or similar major, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven leadership and Human Relations skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret bills of lading, freight bills, other shipping/receiving/warehousing related documents and state and federal transportation rules and regulations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems for this function.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Capable of learning new skills as needed.
• Must be detail oriented.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports directly to the Plant Manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally; sitting, standing, and walking required.
• Requires minimal travel for training or customer store visits as needed.

Pay: $57,552.00 - $66,817.00 per year
