Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled & dedicated maintenance technician with 3 years’ experience to join our property management team. As a maintenance tech you will play a crucial role in overseeing maintenance operations across our properties, ensuring high standards of upkeep and tenant satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as, plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry and general maintenance
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs in a timely manner.
· Conduct inspections of units, buildings, and grounds to identify maintenance issues.
· Implement preventive maintenance procedures to ensure equipment longevity and operational efficiency.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
· Coordinate maintenance schedules with property management to minimize disruptions to residents.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Assist with the preparation of vacant units for new residents.
· Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
· Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks
· Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
· Plan and schedule preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
· Manage inventory of materials and equipment necessary for maintenance projects.
· Address tenant maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
· Collaborate with property managers to resolve maintenance issues and ensure tenant satisfaction.
· Ensure all work is completed according to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance with at least 3 years of general maintenance & leadership roles a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of general maintenance, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient with maintenance tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in carpentry or maintenance is a plus.
- Valid driver's license
