Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, ensuring that food items are fresh, properly displayed, and replenished as needed.
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive for breakfast and provide excellent customer service throughout their meal.
- Assist guests with any special requests or dietary needs, and ensure their breakfast experience is positive.
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, countertops, and floors.
- Replenish beverages, condiments, and food items to ensure the buffet is always stocked and visually appealing.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and serving areas between guest use to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Handle breakfast-related equipment and utensils with care, ensuring proper sanitation and safety protocols are followed.
- Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness in the storage and preparation areas.
- Handle cash and process transactions if the breakfast service includes a charge, following hotel procedures.
- Lift, carry, and move breakfast supplies, food items, and equipment, with a requirement to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Assist in the breakdown and cleaning of the breakfast area after service, including restocking and preparing for the next day’s service.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 25 pounds.
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy breakfast periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks.
- Must be able to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
