Job Overview:
JSK Hospitality is seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our hotel team. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for the efficient and organized operation of the hotel’s laundry services, ensuring that all linens, towels, and uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and delivered on time. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens, towels, bedding, and uniforms according to hotel standards.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Ensure that laundry is processed promptly and accurately to meet the needs of the hotel staff and guests.
- Maintain an organized laundry room and ensure all items are properly stored.
- Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
- Perform regular checks to ensure that laundry equipment is functioning properly; report maintenance issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with transporting and delivering clean linens to guest rooms, public areas, and other departments.
- Lift, carry, and move linens, laundry carts, and other equipment, with a requirement to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and property.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy laundry items (25 pounds).
- Previous experience in a hotel or laundry setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of energy and stamina.
