Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of hotel rooms, common areas, and hotel systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hotel equipment and appliances, including air conditioning, heating systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure all hotel systems are in good working order.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is performed safely, following hotel policies and safety standards.
- Replace worn-out or broken items such as light fixtures, furniture, and appliances.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including dates and details of repairs.
- Ensure the hotel’s grounds and exterior are well-maintained, including landscaping, parking areas, and outdoor facilities.
- Assist in emergency situations, such as power outages or plumbing failures, to ensure minimal disruption to guests.
- Lift, carry, and move heavy items, equipment, and tools, with a requirement to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Follow all safety and environmental protocols, including the proper disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Work closely with other departments (housekeeping, front desk, etc.) to ensure hotel operations run smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to perform general repairs and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of hotel equipment and systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with strength and stamina.
- Comfort working with tools and machinery.
