Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our team at the [Hotel Name] Marriott in the Bistro area. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that each dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide guests with menu information, answer questions, and offer suggestions to enhance their dining experience.
- Order Taking & Service: Accurately take food and drink orders, relay them to the kitchen or bar, and serve food and beverages to guests promptly and efficiently.
- Table Maintenance: Ensure that tables are set up correctly and that guests’ needs are attended to throughout their meal. Refill drinks, clear plates, and check back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, to make recommendations and answer guest inquiries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and management team to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Communicate effectively to address any special requests or issues.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized dining area, ensuring all items are well-stocked and properly prepared for service.
- Guest Satisfaction: Resolve any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Payment Processing: Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions, provide change, and process payments through the POS system.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
