- Manage the company’s procurement policies, procedures and programs.
- Reviews and processes purchase orders.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
- Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
- Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
- Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
- Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
- Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
- Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
- Keeps up with trends in procurement.
- Support remote service operations across all US time zones.
- Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
- Administers vendor discounts, credits and rebates programs
- Produces and provides management with relevant procurement reporting
- Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred.
- 3-5 years previous experience in vendor management and purchasing.
- Superior skill with MS Excel and pdf editing tool.
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and negotiation skill level.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player and customer-service oriented.
- Motivated – a “self-starter” and able to work independently.
- Analytical and strategic thinker – hands on and “out of the box” thinker
- Experience using procurement software and databases.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Research and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screening, a drivers' license check and validation, federal fingerprinting, and security threat assessment, as well as airport security badging.
