What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Marketing Assistant position at JSM Living?
Established in 1974, JSM is a family-owned company and provider of over 1,300 apartments and 500,000 sq/ft of commercial space located across the University of Illinois campus.
We are seeking a creative, motivated, brand-focused part-time Marketing Assistant for a short-term summer project, primarily assisting with the staging of our residential units to prepare them for photo, video, and branding updates. The role will also play a key part in planning and curating social media content.
What you'll do
- Support the JSM brand by staging home furnishings and décor in residential units
- Assist with photo and video production as it relates to our residential units
- Plan, edit, and publish content for various social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) under the discretion and guidance of the Marketing Department.
- Organize and maintain staging props and inventory
- Coordinate items for outreach events and manage promotional inventory
- Partner with the JSM Marketing and Residential teams for Turnover related projects
- Serve as a brand ambassador for JSM Living
Qualifications
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
- Knowledge of Canva
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb several flights of stairs
- Comfortable taking photos and being in front of a camera
- Must be able to take direction and implement accordingly
- Experience or interest in interior design
- Experience in social media management and content creation is preferred but not required
- Advertising, marketing, or communications-related degree seekers preferred but not required
- A valid driver’s license is required and be comfortable driving within a mile radius of the office
The pay range for this role is:
15.50 - 15.50 USD per hour(616G )
