This role offers the perfect blend of responsibility, growth opportunities, and the chance to make a tangible impact within our organization.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll with complete accuracy from start to finish for up to 500 employees using payroll system (ADP). Coordinate payroll items such as 401(k), deferred compensation, and terminations.Process accurate and timely year-end payroll adjustments and reporting.Provide excellent customer service and answer employee payroll questions as needed.Assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filing and related documentation.Assist Finance Manager with quarter and year-end processing ensuring W-2s get processed with 100% accuracy.Processing tax notices and amendments with the payroll provider.Complete multi-state registration process as needed.Serve as liaison to employees and third-party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing is accurately done as per company specific pay policies.Audit and review employee pay records on an ongoing basis.Understand current and proper taxation of employer paid benefits and stay current with changes in payroll law and regulations.Make recommendations for quality and process improvement, coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades.Creating and updating Payroll processes documentation as an ongoing practice.Availability and willingness to work extended hours during some of the holidays for payroll processing and Year-End processing.Prepare and post all payroll-related journal entries and park into SAP accounting system.Manage and calculate monthly payroll accruals during month end closing.Support and meet accounting month-end closing schedule.Working closely with the accounting team to research on GL posting and taxation queries.Work with all department managers to reclass and allocate payroll related expenses.Generate payroll reports for Managers to review upon request.Provide forecast for funding requirements bi-weekly.Assist with training new hires within the team.Support the company’s annual budget and provide payroll records to Auditors as needed.Complete additional tasks / projects as assigned.Skills & Experience RequirementsMinimum 5 years of multi-state payroll experience.ADP experience (mandatory).Intermediate Excel skills required, with ability to perform VLOOKUP and pivot tables.Demonstrate knowledge of multi-state and Federal Labor laws, pay practices and policies.Solid understanding of payroll operations including transactions such as 401K compensation and contribution funding and limits, incentive / bonus / benefit offerings, multistate payroll regulations, etc.A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.An energetic, forward thinking, and creative professional with high ethical standards.An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.Always strive to improve yourself, those around you and the processes and tools used in executing.Education ResponsibilitiesBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.Typical Work Hours / Schedule / Location / Travel timeWork schedule Monday - FridayHybrid - required to be in the office at least 2 to 3 times per weekPhysical DemandsOffice environmentStanding and sittingMight require supporting annual fixed asset and inventory countsSalary range - $90,000 to $110,000 per yearJSR Life Sciences is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
