What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice - Weekend Team Supervisor position at JSSA?
JSSA Hospice has an immediate opening for a qualified RN Supervisor to manage our wonderful and dedicated weekend team. Must be available to work Friday at 1pm through Monday at 8:30am every weekend. The RN Supervisor is an active, formal mentor and first line resource to the weekend nursing team, providing teaching, support and guidance. This position will work in a hybrid environment, both remote and onsite, and be eligible for full benefits.
Responsibilities:
Hires, trains and manages weekend LPN and RN staff
Coordinates weekend visits and admissions coverage
Performs 90-days and annual competencies and reviews with nursing staff
Acts as the administrator on-call throughout the weekend
Serves as a clinical resource for referral sources and patients/family members
Facilitates end of life conversations and decision-making with the family or caregiver
Responsible for triaging incoming calls, identifying and coordinating patent/family needs and for guiding staff to provide preventive and supportive care to terminally ill and patient/family units
Represents our organization when communicating with patients, families, physicians and the community.
Qualifications:
Active RN License to practice in the State of Maryland
CHPN certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of acute care, Hospice and/or home health required experience
Supervisory experience required
Experienced with Electronic Health/Medical Records systems
Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 applications
