Description
SUMMARY:
Supports the assembly, troubleshooting, and qualification of automated systems with a
focus on electrical, software, and control systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reads electrical schematics to layout, build, and wire panels.
2. Assists in assembling machines and sub-assemblies.
3. Wires control panels based on electrical schematics.
4. Installs pneumatic plumbing in automation equipment.
5. Installs sensors, actuators, relays, and basic I/O connections.
6. Programs and fine-tunes simple robot motion paths under supervision.
7. Updates/red lines electrical schematics for any changes or errors.
8. Helps configure basic vision systems for part detection or inspection tasks.
9. Works with the Quality department to test and validate vision program performance.
10. Performs basic electrical troubleshooting and replaces faulty components.
11. Makes small adjustments to PLC logic for improved machine operation with engineering support.
12. Participates in machine conditioning, testing, and initial qualification runs.
13. Prepares machines for shipment (disassembly, crating, reassembly).
14. Helps engineers and technicians during equipment installations.
15. Follows JST Automation build standards
16. Follows OSHA regulations and US & International machine safety standards.
17. Assists with machine manuals.
18. Travels as required to support projects (up to 10%)
19. Any other duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
0-2 years of experience in automation, controls, or machine building.
AAS in Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Technology (or related field).
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and control schematics.
Familiarity with SolidWorks is preferred
