Description
SUMMARY:
Duties will include new design and managing current and old designs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strip layout from Product Drawings
- Ability to concept a new die design
- Assists with detailing of designs
- Interface with the product design engineer to ensure a thorough understanding of product requirements
- Designs to be consistent with good commercial practices demonstrating consideration of manufacturing cost, quality requirements, volumes, and tool room support capabilities
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Associate Degree in technical field and / or equivalent experience
- 5 years minimum in designing Progressive Dies preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Solid Works required
- General computer knowledge Excel, Word, etc.
