Overview
JST is currently seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to support our team within a government environment.
This is a full-time hybrid position with on-site work in Washington, D.C. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Knowledge Management Specialist Responsibilities
- Develop and implement knowledge management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement in knowledge management practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather, organize, and disseminate critical information, such as key processes, lessons learned, SOPs, and best practices.
- Identify knowledge gaps and collaborate with subject matter experts to fill those gaps.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote knowledge sharing and utilization of knowledge management tools.
- Ensure content is up-to-date, well-organized, searchable, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor usage of knowledge management systems and analyze user feedback to improve the experience.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Support the development and maintenance of a knowledge-sharing culture within the organization.
- Support onboarding, training, and offboarding efforts to provide access to curated knowledge resources.
Knowledge Management Specialist Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in knowledge management, content strategy, or information management roles.
- BS in Information Science, Knowledge Management, Library Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with SharePoint and Power BI.
- Strong background in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Experience in developing and conducting training sessions and workshops.
- Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
- Proven track record of enhancing knowledge sharing, improving data accessibility, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in knowledge management tools and software.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge Management Specialist Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (or higher) in Information Science, Knowledge Management, Library Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a government agency/organization.
- Knowledge of information architecture.
- Experience with change management and/or organizational development.
- Knowledge of analytic tools to measure knowledge management effectiveness.
Required Clearances and Screenings
- MUST have an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
