Overview
JST is currently seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support our team within a government environment. The IT Business Analyst 3 plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business objectives within the government environment. This position involves analyzing business processes, identifying requirements, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance IT systems and solutions. The IT Business Analyst 3 works closely with stakeholders to ensure that IT initiatives align with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Sr IT Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analyses of business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for IT systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and feedback.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Assist in the design and development of IT solutions that meet business requirements.
- Support the implementation and integration of new systems and enhancements.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure solutions meet specified requirements.
- Ensure IT solutions comply with DoD (Department of Defense) regulations and security protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for IT projects.
- Stay updated on DoD policies, guidelines, and best practices.
- Monitor the performance of IT systems and solutions.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
- Use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of IT initiatives and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be available to travel up to 4 times a year.
Sr IT Business Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, but relevant experienced considered.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar are preferred.
- 5 years of experience working in the IT space.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, databases, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Visio, SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships with stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of DoD business processes and IT requirements.
- Familiarity with DoD regulations, compliance standards, and security protocols.
- Smartsheet, Salesforce, Lucid Chart, Google Workspace experience

- Active Secret Security Clearance
- MUST have an active secret clearance or be able to obtain one
