Take Ten Tire and Service currently has an opportunity available for Service Technicians who are energetic and team-oriented. Must have tire knowledge and experience, be responsible for the service and maintenance of tires and wheels, and safely get our phenomenal customers back on the road again. This job is demanding and competitive, requiring someone with an upbeat attitude and a positive outlook.
As a Service Technician, you aim to provide outstanding customer service and be the best when replacing, repairing, and rotating tires on customers' vehicles. The Mobile Tire Service Technician is also responsible for mounting, dismounting, and balancing heavy service truck tires and passenger and light truck tires on emergency road service calls and customer fleet parking lots. Employees in this position will primarily work indoors and outdoors and must focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mounting, balancing, rotating, inflating, checking air pressure, calibrating TPMS, and repairing light trucks, large trucks, agriculture, ATV, golf, and industrial tires on the roadside, inside a shop, or at a customer site, ensuring all wheels are torqued to the proper manufacturer specifications when the job is completed.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, taking ownership of removal and replacement of all tires brought in.
- Load and unload stock and assist with physical inventory
- Administer Fleet Checks and safely maintain tires of fleet vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized shop atmosphere.
- Treat customers fairly and honestly and demonstrate our commitment to superior, passion-driven customer service and ethical business practices.
- Completes work orders and related paperwork accurately.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, providing service calls on nights, weekends or holidays when needed.
- Comply with company safety policies & procedures and participate in all training when presented.
- 1-2 years of industrial pressing experience (preferred but will train)
- 1 - 2 years of experience in heavy-duty and commercial tires (Preferred, but will train).
- 1 - 2 years of experience in passenger, light truck, agriculture or industrial tires (Preferred, but will train).
- ASE/TIA certification and/or willingness to participate in training
- Maintain a high level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30 and 250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must have an upbeat and positive outlook and excel in a team environment.
- Enjoy a physically demanding work environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass a background check.
