What are the responsibilities and job description for the Developmental Disabilities Support Coach position at JT/BT family?
Looking for a MALE to work with two adult males in their 30's with a developmental disability. They are independent and there is not any physical care needed. This is not a nursing position. It is more like coach or teacher. This position would work well for someone attending college.
Days: Two days a week Monday to Thursday
Time: 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
(may be opportunities for an occasional evening or weekend)
You will have to do Live Scan (finger printing) and get paid by an agency twice a month. You must have a car and live within 20 miles of our home.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate must have experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and a passion for fostering growth and independence in others. In this role, you will work closely with two adult males. The 39 year old, likes to collect things. You will assist with hygiene reminders, help him clean/clear out his room, help curb his hoarding into something productive, and work with him on recycling (which is his passion). The 33 year old has a tendency to be lazy and loves technology. You will take him to the gym first thing and remind him of hygiene. You will also pursue volunteer opportunities with him.

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
