Position Description
JT Wimsatt Contracting, Inc., a building industry leader, founded in 1992, delivering projects with superior quality, on time and within budget for our clients. JT Wimsatt serves both public and private sector clients with a range of commercial, industrial, residential, government and specialty construction projects.
Laborers support work on our current projects throughout Los Angeles County. Previous concrete labor or equivalent experience highly desirable but not required. This position reports to the job Foreman and / or Superintendent. MINIMUM starting at $20.80 / hour!
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Erecting and disassembling scaffolding,
- Shoring
- Concrete Formwork
- Shoveling and vibrating concrete
- Digging ditches, trenches
- Using picks, shovels, and jack hammers
- Stripping formwork
- Dismantle and clean forms after use
- Loading and unloading material and equipment
- Identifying building materials and tools. Distribute to the appropriate locations as directed
- Cleaning construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Other duties as assigned
