Position Description
As a Safety Manager you will work alongside the Safety team to ensure the safety of all workers at the jobsite. The Safety Manager is responsible for training and ensuring the onsite team is taking proper safety precautions, executing the site's designated safety plans, maintaining safety records, and regularly performing workplace inspections to make sure no unsafe conditions arise.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Presents safety training and orientations for new hires and transfer personnel
- Documents and maintains site safety records
- Educates and ensures employee compliance with CAL OSHA Standards
- Manages employee safety records and trainings, keeps track of logs and needs for recertification
- Conducts accident / injury investigations and document appropriately
- Facilitates safety meetings, manages walks and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks
- Monitors safety equipment and supplies in an efficient and cost-effective manner while operating within departmental budget
- Completes company daily safety documentation as directed in an office and field setting
- Be an active presence in the field at the jobsite
- Provide guidance and mentorship to all workers on health and safety topics
- Stays up-to-date with industry best practices, safety trends, and regulatory requirements
