Hours of Job
Full-time – 80 hours per pay period
8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
No weekends or holidays required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Process payroll information including the maintenance of employee demographic and deduction information. Ensure the accurate and timely payment of all Grand Lake Health System employees.
Withhold and remit taxes and garnishments in accordance with the applicable authoritative agency’s regulations. Withhold and remit employee elected benefit deductions as provided through Human Resources Policies.
Prepare tax returns for payroll taxes, sales taxes and CAT taxes, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
Responsible for preparing and distributing internal managerial payroll & productivity reports to area work leaders.
Assist employees to understand payroll calculations and deductions, investigating problems and making appropriate corrections when necessary.
Compile statistical and accounting information from payroll as requested.
In conjunction with Human Resources, develop, maintain, and revise payroll procedures in written format as required.
Assist in other accounting duties.
Education / Certifications
Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
Experience
Proficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet packages
Sufficient previous experience in payroll processing
Strong communication skills to deal with other employees
