Essential Duties And Accountabilities
Knowledge of Koyo production departments, what each department function is, what tooling is required in each department, how tooling quality affects external customer. Assist other departments with tooling problems.
Knowledge of Koyo production departments, what each department function is, what tooling is required in each department, how tooling quality affects external customer. Assist other departments with tooling problems.
- Apply previous techniques to specific shop problems and work time reduction and cost reduction.
- Continue to improve and demonstrate basic job skills.
- Trigonometry – calculate hole locations, compound setting and tapers using sin, cos and tan.
- Continue to improve and demonstrate proper communication skills.
- OSHA annual requirements.
- Continue to improve and demonstrate proper 5S and safety skills.
- Assist training less experienced workers.
- Assist Supervisor as required.
- Attend Train the Trainer course.
- Maintain tolerance of tooling within specifications.
- Design and build tools, jigs and fixtures from concepts including material selection.
- Apply problem solving techniques to specific problems in Jig and Tool and production.
- Oil, water and air hardening, proper temperature and time for hardening and tempering, for furnace and torch heat treatment.
- Basic welding and brazing.
- Shape grinding on surface grinder, magnetic surface plate and chuck work, use and care of borazan and diamond wheels, knowledge of wheel specs., and proper dressing procedure.
- Train others as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
