REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Quality Manager.
2 PURPOSE
2.1 Function
2.1.1 Contributes to managing and executing all aspects of calibration, testing, and repair of various instruments and equipment within the organization and its supply chain.
2.1.2 Support calibration and testing activities by performing routine calibration of equipment and instruments and maintaining detailed calibration records and certifications.
2.1.3 Provide technical support to engineering and production teams by verifying equipment performance through in-house or external calibration testing and ensuring the accuracy of measurement systems.
2.1.4 Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and other departments to efficiently complete projects or work orders, resolve equipment operation issues, and promote calibration best practices.
2.1.5 Train staff in calibration techniques and proper usage of inspection equipment to maintain the highest quality standards.
2.2 Authority
2.2.1 Works with the Quality Manager to identify required resources and ensure calibration activities are carried out in compliance with established procedures, standards, and industry regulations.
3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Perform and support all calibration functions, ensuring that instruments and equipment are tested and maintained to required standards.
3.2 Execute evaluations of materials and products submitted for calibration, ensuring compliance with customer and industry specifications.
3.3 Test and validate equipment for defined metrics, verifying accuracy and reliability.
3.4 Maintain, operate, and calibrate inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, and other gauges, ensuring adequate supplies and resources are available.
3.5 Perform activities necessary to ensure calibration equipment is maintained to enable ongoing operation and precision.
3.8 Test parts or products using various techniques to confirm compliance with engineering specifications and performance expectations.

3.9 Prepare detailed calibration and inspection documentation, including written descriptions of results, deviations from specifications, and summarized data for management reports.
3.10 Oversee calibration equipment, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal mechanical and software performance.
3.11 Works with Engineering to find gauge and measurement improvements were necessary and needed.
3.12 Coordinate with external calibration facilities to ensure outsourced calibration services are completed efficiently and to standard.
3.13 Train staff members in the use of calibration equipment, techniques, and procedures to uphold consistent quality standards.
3.14 Ensure calibration areas are kept organized and adhere to cleanliness and safety standards.
In addition, quality assurance processes.
3.15 Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S concepts; 3.16 Using the measurement equipment in the lab, conduct 100% layouts per
the parts print based on the RM#s. Determine the technique needed to
perform the inspections, prepare the samples and compile the data;
3.17 Undertake special projects as required.
3.18 All other duties as assigned.

5 SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
6 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional environment, as well as a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role also is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
7 QUALIFICATIONS
7.1 High school diploma or equivalent.
7.2 Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred;
7.3 Excellent organizational and communication skills;
7.4 2 years of PC-DMIS programming experience required;
7.5 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
7.6 Team player and model employee.
8 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
8.1 Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
8.2 Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
8.3 Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
9 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours and possible weekend work.
10 TRAVEL
Local travel to various worksites is required.
